Church officials have announced that the Catholic Diocese of Santa Rosa is accepting bids for the 127-year-old St. Francis Church in Hopland. It is hoped the building will be converted into a community center. Vintner John Fetzer has said that he, Golden Pig owner Julie Golden, and others in Hopland are behind a fledgling drive to secure the title to the building.
