Lake County Board of Supers Meets Tuesday, Will Discuss Federal Cuts

The Lake County Board of Supervisors meets Tuesday morning and will hold a public hearing on an ordinance regarding the Water Vessel Inspection Program. The board will consider multiple federal updates, including Administration for Children and Families layoffs, Health and Human Services layoffs, and program funding cuts. The board will also consider the $500 million cut in the Temporary Emergency Food Assistance Program, which will cut funding for CalFresh programs that over 16,000 or 25% of Lake County residents rely on.
