A building at the Ceago Vinegarden on Highway 20 between Nice and Lucerne was heavily damaged after a fire on Tuesday night. The building, sometimes used as an event space was unoccupied at the time. TheLakeCountyNews reports the owner’s son, Barney Fetzer heard a loud boom before discovering the fire. He then ran to notify his father, owner Jim Fetzer. Firefighters from Northshore Fire, Lakeport Fire, and Cal Fire responded and were dispatched just after nine and were able to extinguish the blaze quickly.
