More than 55 representatives from Mendocino County attended the two-day new assessment training program put on by CalFire recently. The training offered local volunteers the chance to learn what Cal Fire inspectors look for when assessing residential fire risks. The training was held for those who serve on fire-safe councils, as part of neighborhood Firewise groups and others interested. It is hoped that those newly trained will work with their communities to ensure more safety from wildfires.
