PG&E has released its Final Draft Application for Surrender of its license for the Potter Valley Project hydroelectric facility. The over 2000 page document outlines the utility’s plans for decommissioning the project and details the expected effects on those dependent on water from the Russian River. Public comments on PG&E’s Draft Application are due by March 3, 2025. The Final Surrender Application and Decommissioning Plan is scheduled for submission to the Federal Energy Regulartory Commission on July 29, 2025.
