A crash early on Christmas Eve claimed the life of a 76-year-old woman near Clearlake Oaks. CHP responded to the report of a crash on state route 53, south of route 20 and when they arrived, they found the woman, driving a Lexus had made a U-turn in front of a semi-truck and was hit broadside. The woman died of her injuries at the scene.
