Clearlake Man Arrested for Illegal Weapons, Explosives and Animal Cruelty

A Clearlake man has been arrested after reports of a dogfight, a cry for help, and a gunshot. Jesse Adams, 26, was taken into custody after a neighbor called in a complaint. While investigating in the area of Chippewa Trail and Fairway Drive in the Kelseyville Riviera, Lake County Sheriff’s deputies found a handgun in plain view, as well as an injured dog. In a search of Adams’ residence, an AR-15 style rifle with illegal modifications, weapon magazines, and ammunition were found, as well as a large quantity of Tannerite explosive. Adams was arrested on illegal firearms charges, possession of illegal explosives, and animal cruelty and was booked into the Hill Road Correctional Facility.
