Arcata Looking for Federal Grants for Pet Projects

The city of Arcata is looking for some help from the feds for a new behavioral health center and several other projects, in the form of a community block grant. There are several projects the funding could help move forward, including homeownership assistance and housing rehabilitation, shoreline revetment near Jolly Giant Creek to address sea level rise, and several others. Arcata Community Development Director David Loya said the city is getting help from community partners to make the grant applications. The deadline for applications is December 30th
