At the end of September, the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office with help from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s office served wararnts on several unlicensed cannabis sites in the Round Valley area. A total of 16 locations were targets, most being in the great Covelo area and one in the Mendocino National Forest. Water diversions and dangerous pesticides were found near local waterways. Roughly 30,000 marijuana plants, over 23,000 lbs of process marijuana, psilocybin mushrooms, over $130k in cash and six firearms including ghost guns were seized. Several individuals are awaiting federal and state charges as a result of the operation.
