An Arcata woman was found dead in a Ukiah Creek late last week, and authorities are investigating what they believe to be a hit-and-run accident connected to the death. The body of Aimee R. Younkin of Arcata was found in Hensley Creek, near the SB 101 south of the Lake Mendocino Drive exit. Investigators have determined that Younkin was hit sometime between the 8th and 10 of this month. Anyone with information is asked to contact the CHP.
