The first in what is expected to be a series of public meetings to gain community support for the planned John T. Klaus Park was held on Tuesday. The Lake County Public Services Department, which will manage the park, hosted the meeting, which gathered input into what the community would like the park to be. The new project will be located on around 580 acres of donated land along Highway 20 east of Clearlake Oaks. More meetings, including a virtual session, are planned for the future. For more information and to be added to the project notification list, email the Public Services Parks Division at parks@lakecountyca.gov.
