The Habematolel Pomo of Upper Lake’s Running Creek Casino was honored this week by the California Clean Air Project with the California Tribal Community Health Leadership Award. The casino has been a smoke-free facility since the COVID-19 pandemic. Sherry Treppa, chairwoman for the Habematolel Pomo of Upper Lake Tribe said the tribe is honored to be recognized for the hard work and dedication to the health of its community and all who visit the tribe’s enterprises.
