The Mendocino County Fire Safe Council has awarded seventeen microgrants to local fire departments and neighborhood fire councils. Over $130,000 in grants ranging from $4,500 to $10,000 were awarded to help fire safety projects in the various communities. The amount of grants available this year was considerably more than last year thanks to help from PG&E and Measure P funding.
