A grant application by the Guidiville Rancheria is being for further consideration after the State Department of Toxic Substance Control found discrepancies in the 6.6 million dollar application. No details on what the issues with the application are or how they might be resolved, but the department says no funds can be released before those issues are addressed satisfactorily. The grant application was for the demolition and hazardous remediation of the historic Palace Hotel. The Department of Toxic Substance Control has said it hopes to have the issues resolved by sometime in April.
