In this week’s primary elections, Lake County’s representatives in Congress and the State Assembly appear ahead in their races on Tuesday. Running unopposed, Cecelia Aguiar-Curry received 100% of the vote with just under 90% of precincts reporting as of Wednesday evening. House Representative Democrat Mike Thompson had 63% of the vote with 94% of precincts reporting. Republican John Munn had 31.2% of the votes cast. So Mike Thompson and John Munn will advance to the November general election.
