A winter storm watch is in effect for southern Lake County and the southeastern interior of Mendocino County from this evening through tomorrow night. Strong winds along the coast will then see snow levels dropping to 1000 feet, with accumulations of 2-7 inches possible. Roads in the area, especially bridges and overpasses may be slick. High winds could cause damage to trees and downed powerlines. PG&E has said its crews are making ready to respond to any outages. Heavy rain on and off for the rest of the week can be expected for most of Lake and Mendocino Counties below 1000 feet.
