A Mendocino woman missing since the end of January has been found dead in a truck in the Trinity River. Roxanne Miller of Garberville was reported overdue on January 29th, when she was traveling from Mendocino County through Trinity County along Highway 299. After searching for some time, officers located a camper shell that matched the description of Miller’s vehicle near a steep embankment. Divers were brought in but due to turbulent river conditions were unable to do more than assess the scene and wait to make a recovery until the 13 of this month. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
