The Lakeport City Council meets this evening at six and will consider a grant application to the California State Department of Housing and Community Development for up to $750,000 in funding under the HOME Investment Partnership Program for the Bevins Street Senior Apartment project. The council will also consider returning to the Lakeport Fire Protection District a surplus ambulance that was donated to the district in 2021. The city was unable to secure funding to convert the vehicle for use by the city, and the district has said it is willing to take it back to use as a backup ambulance.
