Eureka Man Found Guilty of Arson, Burglary of Business in Ukiah

The Eureka man arrested for arson and burglary of a commercial business structure in Ukiah earlier in the year has been found guilty. Because the arson was committed during a fire-related state of emergency as declared by the Governor, Benjamin Ervin James Dimmick will have a second special allegation hearing sometime in the middle of January. Dimmick will not be sentenced until he can stand trial for two other pending cases. Mendocino County Court Judge Keith Faulder will continue to preside over Dimmick’s cases.
