The Lake County Fire Protection Agency and the California Department of Parks and Recreation’s Northern Buttes District will be conducting a prescribed burn operation beginning as early as today and potentially running through Saturday, Nov. 4, weather permitting of 50 acres of nonnative grasslands along Highway 53 and Anderson Branch Parkway near Lower Lake.  Smoke may be noticed and should travel from west to east.
