The Mendocino County Board of Supervisors at their last meeting rejected an application for a cannabis free zone outside of Willits and directed Code Enforcement to focus on illegal cannabis activity in the area. According to KZYX, the area requested to have those limitations place on it is not currently eligible for cannabis permits. The application for the designation was intended to head off the future possibility of zoning change in that area.
