The City of Lakeport has announced a Fall opening and celebration for its new park. TheLakeCountyNews reports While the park has been called the Lakeside Park, its new official name will be announced during the grand opening celebration scheduled for October 28th. There will be a ribbon cutting, a land acknowledgment, performances by the Clear Lake High School Band, a slideshow, DJ, refreshments, food trucks, and more. Crews are now in the final stretch of finishing work on the park, which slowed earlier in the year due to weather. The park will feature a promenade, pavilion, splash pad, skate park, basketball courts, ninja gym and concession stand. The park sits on the previous home of the Natural High School Alternative School.
