The Lake County Board of Supervisors has hired a new Public Health Officer. In a closed session earlier in the month, members voted to hire Dr. Noemi C. Doohan as public health officer, effective September 1st. Doohan was Mendocino County’s public health officer part-time from 2019 through May of this year. She was also chief medical officer for Santa Barbara County at the same time. Doohan’s contract will be on a year-to-year basis.
