Mendo Board of Supers to Hear Public Comment on Redwood Valley Zoning Change

At its meeting today, the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors will hear public comment on a proposed change in zoning that would stop commercial cannabis growing on about 440 acres of land in Redwood Valley. As reported by TheMendoVoice, most of the over 200 properties in question are zoned as rural residential, where growing is already not allowed. The proposed zoning change is intended to prevent expanding cannabis grows in the future. The Mendocino Cannabis Alliance is pushing back on the proposed change, saying it would displace several growers already in the area.
