Saturday night, Mendocino County was shaken by a 4.2 magnitude quake along the San Andreas Fault. The US Geological Survey initially reported the quake at 4.4. The shallow epicenter quake was located in the hills east of Highway 101, almost directly between Ukiah and Hopland, in the area of Talmage.. The State’s tsunami system picked up the quake but did not issue a warning. Reports of shaking in Willits, from Redwood Valley to Hopland and around Clear Lake have been recorded. No major aftershocks and no damage or injuries have been reported.
