A display observing Pride Month at the Ukiah branch of the Mendocino Public Library was vandalized sometime on Tuesday. TheMendocinoVoice reports rainbow decorations and roughly two dozen books were thought to have been stolen, but were later found in different areas of the library. The books were originally in the children’s section, with subject matter concerning gay parents, kids gender identity and anti-racism. Branch Librarian Melissa Carr said the person also left a very disturbing note. The incident was reported to the Ukiah Police.
