The plan to build three new reservoirs and establish a community forest in Fort Bragg is moving forward. TheMendoVoice reports the land for the project near the Summers Lake Reservoir was purchased a couple of months ago and now city staff has been directed to request proposals for construction designs. The reality that Fort Bragg will rely on water storage in upcoming years prompted the project. The three 45-acre-foot reservoirs will take up only around 30 acres of the forested area and are anticipated to be close in size to the Summers Lane Reservoir.
