Lake County Sheriff’s Office detectives and deputies have busted a large illegal marijuana production operation in Clearlake Oaks. They searched over 20 locations, and found a sophisticated chemical lab in Middletown producing hash oil, using highly flammable chemicals. Over 780 gallons of the chemicals were not properly stored, posing a safety concern. They also found victims of forced labor human trafficking and rescued them. They discovered another location in Clearlake with over 11,000 marijuana plants, and seized firearms, ammunition, and $300,000 in cash. The investigation is ongoing.
