Attorney for Man Accused in Death of Child Asks for Competency Hearing

The competency of a Ukiah man accused in the death of a 13-month-old boy last year is being questioned by his attorney. Jan Cole-Wilson, voiced her concerns in Mendocino County Superior Court in Ukiah this week, where Edward Two Feathers Steele’s preliminary hearing was scheduled. The judge in the case, Victoria Shanahan ordered Steele to be examined by a doctor and the findings presented on March 8th, where she will then decide whether to reschedule Steele’s preliminary hearing.
