Residents of the Creekside Cabins near Willits have until Friday to move their RV’s from the park when a temporary bridge that spans the sinkhole that has made access to the park impossible is removed. Making a move during a natural disaster is always difficult, and the situation with Creekside has become one of accessibility to assistance to make the move and then, find suitable accommodations elsewhere. So far, 7 of the 27 families at Creekside have said they have no way to move and must stay. A number of social service agency representatives have been out to help, one of whom said helping in this situation is like “trying to fly a plane while building it”.
