At their meeting on Thursday, the Clearlake City Council unanimously voted to authorize the city manager to develop and execute a loan agreement with Lexington Construction to complete road and storm drainage improvements on 36th Avenue. The LakeCountyNews reports the loan is to allow Lexington to complete road and storm drainage improvements of a proposed 18-lot development that stalled due to personal and professional setbacks experienced by Lexington. The loan is made in hopes of continuing the project, rather than the city having to re-take control of the properties and forgo the project altogether.
