An Upper Lake man has been sentenced to 25 years to life in prison after entering a guilty plea in the death of another man in 2020. Christopher John McDonald was sentenced for killing John Turner Dickerson of Nice in a drug deal gone bad. Had McDonald not entered a plea of guilty, he might have been sentenced to life without the possibility of parole.
