Cal-ISO Activates Emergency Power Generators in Roseville

Last night, the California Independent System Operator or Cal-ISO activated temporary emergency power generators deployed by the Department of Water Resources in Roseville and Yuba City. Those generators can provide enough emergency power to provide electricity to 120,000 homes. This is the first time the generators have been activated since they were installed last year. The plan, ordered by the Governor, makes the units easy to put into service during climate emergencies like the current one.
