The City of Clearlake has received a $3 million grant from the State Parks Rural Recreation and Tourism Program which will help fund the new Burns Valley Sports Complex. The LakeCountyNews reports the grant will be added to funds from Congressman Thompson, Konocti Unified School District, Lake County Tribal Health, and the city to reach the $8 million overall project cost. The project will be built on a portion of a 31-acre property north of Olympic Drive, behind the Safeway shopping center.
