Mendocino County to Get Grant Funding to Combat Homelessness

Governor Gavin Newsome has announced a grant program totaling just over $518 million to help provide services and housing options to those living on the streets, including those with severe mental illness or substance abuse problems. Mendocino County is slated to receive $7.7 million. The grants are funded through the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) Behavioral Health Continuum Infrastructure Program (BHCIP) Round 3: Launch Ready grants.
