At the end of last month, Mendocino College put on a series of events promoting the CalFresh Outreach Week, designed to increase awareness about the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program or SNAP and the food insecurity college students and the community face. Students who are eligible for CalFresh are able to receive a maximum of $250 each month to purchase groceries at the grocery store, Farmers’ Markets, and online. To apply, visit mendocino.edu/calfresh
