Cal Fire Transitions Out of Fire Season In the Area

Cal Fire’s Sonoma-Lake-Napa unit announced its transition out of peak fire season, effective Monday the 28th. Cooler temps and recent rains have lowered the wildfire threat, although this is the latest the fire season has taken place in the past decade. The 2020 fire season has been a very active year. The Sonoma-Lake-Napa Unit of Cal Fire responded to over 600 wildfires that burned over 434,000 acres.
