Governor Appoints Local Dreamer College Student to Student Aid Commission

Governor Newsome has appointed Leonardo Rodriguez of Kelseyville to the California Student Aid Commission. Rodriguez, a college student, says he is honored to be appointed to the commission, and that as a Dreamer and an undocumented Student he understands the needs for higher education to allow those like him to attain their goals. Rodriguez grew up in Lake County, attending high school in Kelseyville and college at Mendocino College. He is a first generation college student. He serves on the Mendocino-Lake College District Board of Trustees and the California Community College Trustees Board as its student member for the 2021-22 academic year.
