A wanted fugitive in Mendocino County is still on the loose after another sighting this week and a search. A person matching the description of 40-year-old William Allen Evers was seen on Monday by a resident in the 31000 block of Middle Ridge Road in Albion. Yesterday the Sheriff’s Office initiated a search for Evers on Albion Ridge Road, Navarro Ridge Road, Middle Ridge Road and the Salmon Creek Drainage. The search concluded without Evers. He is wanted for burglaries in the area and for firing a weapon at a deputy during a foot pursuit.
