All Regional Stay-Home Orders Lifted

Governor Gavin Newsom lifted all regional COVID-19 stay-at-home orders yesterday and announced the state is returning to its color-coded tier system this week. State health officials say a key factor is the state’s positivity rate which is trending lower. Since December, people across the Bay Area, San Joaquin Valley and Southern California had been ordered not to leave their homes except for essential tasks. Only the Northern Region avoided the order as they remained above 15-percent ICU capacity. A return to the Purple Tier for counties in the other three regions will allow restaurants to offer outdoor dining once again.
