Pavement grinding is underway on Perkins Street and is expected to last through Wednesday night. This noisy nighttime operation will restrict traffic to one lane in each direction. Following the grinding, daytime paving will also restrict traffic to one lane. Drivers are advised to use alternate routes.

Teen Driver Crashes Car, Several Injured

A 13-year-old unlicensed driver crashed on Hill Road near Clearlake Sunday evening, injuring himself and five passengers when the vehicle spun, rolled, and hit a telephone pole. The CHP attributed the accident to unsafe speed and the unlicensed driver. The driver and two passengers suffered broken bones; others, including a dog, sustained minor injuries.

Ukiah Woman Identified As Victim In Fatal Shooting In Cloverdale

The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office identified Tiffany Tyrell, 60, of Ukiah, as the victim of a fatal shooting on Saturday in Cloverdale. Lawrence Cassidy, 56, allegedly shot Tyrell, then died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after a standoff with a Sonoma County SWAT team. Friends and family have started a GoFundMe for Tyrell.
