Nevada Man Arrested For Gas Station Robbery In Fort Bragg

A Nevada man was arrested in Fort Bragg on Saturday for armed robbery at a Sinclair gas station on North Main Street. Titan Greene allegedly stole about $200 while displaying a firearm.  Officers located him at a Motel 6. Greene was booked into Mendocino County Jail on felony robbery and carrying a concealed firearm charges.

Local Cities Receive Community Development Block Grants

The Governor’s Office has allocated over $52 million in federal Community Development Block Grants. The CDBG awards will fund 38 projects in 20 counties.  Clearlake will receive a $2.5 million planning and technical assistance grant.  The City of Ukiah is slated to receive $1.5 million for a homebuyer-assistance grant for a program.

City Of Ukiah Launches Fiber Project

The Ukiah Gigabit Fiber Project, a partnership between the City of Ukiah and Vero Fiber Networks, is launching with a $5.58 million CPUC grant. Ukiah will own the 23-mile network, operated by Vero for 35 years, to bring affordable, high-speed internet to an estimated 1,700 locations. Oakland Man Gets Four Years For Identity Theft

An Oakland man was sentenced to 48 months in state prison for felony identity theft.
