Willits Man Arrested For Elder Abuse

This past Friday, MCSO Deputies arrested a Willits man for assaulting and strangling his 72-year-old relative after an argument. The victim escaped by jumping nine feet from a window and crawling to a neighbor’s house, suffering severe injuries to her face consistent with strangulation and broken bones in her lower extremities.  38-year-old Don Wiltse also threatened a Willits Police Officer and a Deputy Sheriff during detention. He was booked into Mendocino County Jail on $1,205,000 bail for attempted Murder, elder abuse causing great bodily injury, and threatening a Peace Officer.
