The Lake County Board of Supervisors unanimously dismissed Health Services Director Anthony Arton on Tuesday after his third closed-session performance review this month, concluding his two-year tenure. Stephen Carter, a 16-year county employee and former interim director, was named the new interim director. Arton’s time was marked by frequent scrutiny, including six closed-session evaluations since July 2024.
