The Great Redwood Trail Agency board has approved the master plan for a 231-mile multi-use trail, converting the former Northwestern Pacific Railroad corridor across Mendocino, Trinity, and Humboldt counties, one of the nation’s longest rail-to-trail conversions. The project is expected to generate over $102 million annually. A new segment opens in Ukiah on April 26.
