Mendocino College English professor Jason Davis, 54, of Ukiah, faces six felony child sexual abuse charges for alleged acts starting when the victim was 13. Davis is on administrative leave and was released after his $1 million bail was reduced to $285,000. A preliminary hearing to determine charges is set for Wednesday. Deputy DA Robert Waner anticipates more charges. The Mendocino County Public Defender’s Office represents Davis; access may be restricted during the hearing.
