A man was arrested after an incident reported Saturday evening in the 800 block of Oak Street in Ukiah. The man, who initially called dispatch requesting medical help for his parents, was detained when an officer arrived and found two people with major injuries. Clearance Wells, 37, of Oakland, was booked into the Mendocino County Jail on charges including attempted murder, elder abuse resulting in great bodily harm or death, and assault with a deadly weapon. He is being held without bail.
