Lakeport School District Gets Bond On Ballot

The Lakeport Unified School District Board, at a special meeting Monday night, unanimously approved a $24.5 million school bond for the June 2 ballot. Superintendent Matt Bullard stated that placing it before Measure T expires in July maintains the current flat tax rate. The funds, which won’t raise the current rate, are earmarked for new construction, facility upgrades, repairs, and securing state funds for transitional kindergarten and career technical education.
