Lake County Sheriff’s Office Correctional deputy Daniel Constancio Jr., 37, of Willits, has been arrested for sexually assaulting a female inmate in early 2024. An investigation beginning in September determined Constancio engaged in unlawful sexual conduct. Constancio surrendered Thursday and was booked into Mendocino County Jail on charges of misdemeanor intimate touching and two felonies: oral copulation in a correctional facility and sexual penetration by threat of retaliation. He posted $10,000 bail and was released.
