Robin Lane Sewage Spill Update

Following the massive sewage spill in Clearlake on January 11th, officials on Thursday reported progress in water testing and tank placement. A unified command formed by the city of Clearlake and Lake County OES is managing the response to the Robin Lane sewer spill.  Officials continue to aim for a swift return to normalcy, working on coordinated recovery and monitoring across six zones.  The city reported stabilized sewer infrastructure, completed environmental assessments, and ongoing private well testing in all zones. The response includes potable water, hygiene services, and temporary shelter.  An updated estimate of impacted properties has gone from 58 to 200. As of Thursday, unified command teams had tested 310 total water samples. The number of installed water tanks reached 19. The city’s website has a dedicated incident page.
