The City of Clearlake and Lake County Office of Emergency Services are now jointly leading recovery efforts for the Jan. 11 Robin Lane sewage spill. The 2.9 million-gallon spill, caused by a Lake County Sanitation District rupture, affects over 200 properties. Impacted residents have been without clean water for 15 days. Delivery of the 60 water tanks approved by the Board of Supervisors for $750,000 on Jan. 21 is delayed and uncertain, with the county providing no updates. Private wells are impacted. As of Friday, 175 water samples were taken and 60 wells sanitized; however, eight of 55 retested remain contaminated. The county has released no recent testing data. City teams will contact residents today before a third town hall Wednesday evening at 6 at the Clearlake City Hall.
